The wheels and tyres on your vehicle are held in place by an intricate system of tie rods and axles. When the tyres are out of place they will experience uneven wear and tear. This wear can place you in a precarious position when driving. Keep everything in line when you make an appointment with the friendly team at Kiwi French Automotive today!
Why Work With Kiwi French Automotive?
- Peace of Mind: All of the work we do in Slacks Creek is backed by the Repco Nationwide Guarantee.
- Saving You Money: Having regular wheel alignment service performed maintains proper tyre wear which can mean that you will have to replace a tyre less often.
- Great Mechanics: Wheel alignment is performed with a series of high tech calibration equipment. Our mechanics are kept up to date on the latest parts and tools thanks to ongoing training seminars and service bulletins.
How is Wheel Alignment Performed?During wheel alignment the car is put on a lift and the tyres are closely inspected. Our team can tell if there is an issue by looking at the wear on the tyres. The wheels may be removed so that the axle, tie rods and the steering column can be adjusted. When the tyres are put back on the vehicle a laser will be used to ensure that everything is level and spinning properly.
When Should You Have Wheel Alignment Services Performed?Tyres should be balanced every six months. If there has been construction or you have been driving more frequently, wheel alignment services may be best performed sooner than six months. If a tyre needs to be replaced then the wheel alignment should be checked as part of the replacement process.
Parts Involved in Wheel Alignment ServicesThere are many moving parts which work together to keep the angle of the tyres in the correct position. Some of the common parts which we will inspect include:
- Wheel Bearings
- Strut Mounts
- Ball Bearings
- Caster and Camber
- Steering Column
- Tie Rod
